Collaborative Competence among High School Students Incorporating Digital Tablets

Résumé

Several studies show that young people have a special relationship to technology (Roy, 2009) which predisposes to school use of ICT. According to Collin and Karsenti (2013), it is important to consider this relationship and external use during the pedagogical integration of technology tools in our schools. This paper presents an analysis of collaboration among students of a school that recently integrated iPads using activity theory (Engeström, 2001). The results show that collaboration develops outside of the school. The researchers then discussed the mobilization of these practices in a school context and directions for future research.
